Two London Shows
liquidoranges STUDIO is being represented by our UK Agent, Janiece Wallace at two very exciting shows in London THIS WEEK. 100%Design and Decorex, both this weekend. Looking ahead, mark your calendars for April 14-15, 2010 when we will be at the Residential Design & Construction show at the Boston Seaside World Trade Center. We are also seriously considering a booth at this years Build Boston in November to feature our laminated glass art. Stay tuned.
CRAZY UPDATES!
Its been a very busy
week at the studio:
1. liquidoranges STUDIO will be represented at
the 100%Design and
Decorex trade shows in
London, September 24 through 27th, 2009. Our
marketing rep, Janeice Wallace will be attending
both shows on our behalf, meeting with designers,
architects and buyers alike spreading the news
about liquidoranges STUDIO designs and products.
2. Our glass art film testing, laminated between two
sheets of glass is a SUCCESS. Stay tuned for photos
of the test pieces as they arrive from the
autoclave!!! These glass units with liquidoranges
Glass Art Films laminated between are stunning, and
are to be used where ever safety glass is required,
including all interior glass walls, stairs, railings,
furniture, etc. So...off we go to Atlanta (again) to
attend the Glass Build America
trade
show, September 30th through October 02, 2009.
3. We will try our best to have our glass art films
represented at the Lakes Hospitality Interiors
Show in October, in
Cumbria, UK.
Rugs as Carpet as Tile
Its such a natural
transition. Having created so many square art works
over the years based on the simple principle that in
the digital world, the binary code of ones and zeros
sets up the ultimate proportion: 0x0=0, 0x1=0, 1x1=1:
the square. From our artworks, Willard Custom Carpets
in
Laren, Netherlands is commencing with three new
works, capturing our art in handtufted rugs, as
SQUARE rugs.
And now, liquidoranges has been asked to design
modular carpet tiles for a major North American,
world renown carpet maker. The square proportion is
something we have mastered for nearly twenty years,
and ironically as we have taken steps to break away
from this logic in our newest art works, it comes
back to us! From rugs, to rugs as carpet, to carpet,
to carpet as tiles. It’s a perfect match for
us!
