Edge work and hole drilling is one of the premium cost drivers for this product. If your glass panels are fully captured in frames, there is no need to provide any edge finishing. If you intend to have exposed edges, polishing is required to correct any non-alignment between glass layers from the laminating process, as well as providing a completely smooth, jewel-like condition. When butt-glazing these panels, the same applies if you intend to leave open gaps between panels. When sealing between panels a ground edge is best. Only use an approved non-acidic pure silicone sealant when butt-glazing.
Typical lead time is approximately 6 to 8 weeks from approved artwork and shop drawings. Quotes are provided based on architect or designer drawings, specific to the project.
