A friendship built to last forever, Jan Willard of Laren, Netherlands and Reese Schroeder were collaborating on a new series of rugs, hand-tufted instead of loom woven. Based on Reese's new media artworks, Jan Willard of Willard Custom Carpets worked with his team to interpret in pure wools and silks what Reese had created through his electronic painting. The call came one day from Jan to share his exhibit in Dubai at the DomoTex 2009 show. Then, the call came that the Designer's Lounge wanted Reese to be the kick-off speaker, presenting his artworks and how they are interpreted into fine art rugs.
